Tecnica Group, a leading name in the sportswear industry, is committed to enhancing sustainability and circularity in product lifecycle management. As part of its mission to minimise environmental impact and enhance traceability, the brand needed a solution to provide sorting operators with detailed product breakdown information to ensure the correct disassembly and disposal of products at end-of-life. 

To address this challenge, Tecnica Group partnered with Temera, a world leader in product traceability solutions, to develop an intuitive app, named “Recycle Your Boots”, that provides precise product breakdown information, guiding sorting operators through the correct recycling process. 

Powered by Temera’s proprietary repository, the app stores all traceability data collected throughout the production process. By simply scanning a QR code tagged on each item, sorting operators can uniquely identify the product and retrieve its full production and disposal details. This ensures accurate sorting and responsible waste management, driving real progress in the circular economy for the sportswear industry.

As circular economy becomes a key focus within the sportswear industry, Tecnica Group and Temera's collaboration is expected to drive more efficient recycling and material reuse, while reducing the environmental footprint through improved sorting accuracy, setting a new industry standard.
