07/09/2022

Temera, a leading developer of IoT solutions for the digitization of processes in fashion and luxury, has been cited as a Sample Vendor for providing item-level RFID solutions in Gartner Hype Cycle for Retail Technologies 2022 study*.

The impact of RFID technology applied to retail, has always been one of the key research topics for Temera's core business. To be among the leading providers in the industry today is certainly a source of pride and we consider this recognition as a validation of the company's strategy at the international level.

One of the main advantages that RFID technology offers is to have real-time tracking of products at the serial level.

The ability to have real-time visibility of merchandise with extreme accuracy is certainly one of the key factors offered by RFID technology, which makes it possible to reconstruct the history of a product throughout the Supply Chain, starting from its manufacture to its sale to the end customer. The use of RFID in retail operations has many benefits. To name a few: it enables a significant improvement in inventory accuracy, generally over 98 percent; it increases the efficiency of store employee workflows; it enables omnichannel solutions, in addition to other benefits inherent in the technology, such as grey market control and identification of counterfeit products.

Francesco Pieri, Co-Founder and CEO of Temera "We are enormously pleased with this recognition by Gartner and to us it isthe result of more than 10 years of work that has led to the adoption of our solutions by leading luxury companies. Investments in RFID technology have been significant in recent years as companies have realized that unique item-level identification is the basis for their business development. New generations of consumers are increasingly focused on supply chain sustainability and efficient operations in a market where sales channels (physical and digital) are increasingly integrated.
